My one day job

I thought this job blow already because the job suppose to start on today de, but the lady call Sophia never call, so I thought can forget about it already. Then today at about 2pm, I received the Sophia's call asking me whether I could make it down at 3pm. I was at Bishan MRT Stn at that time. The first thing I asked was, "When can i leave, because I have this important meeting at 7.15p.m'. Sophia said she could not confirm because the lady boss couldn't confirm. She said she will get back to me. So I went home loh, I reach home at 2.15pm and went bathing.. my feets were hurting.. When I checked my handphone after that, I saw 2 missed call. I recognised the number as Sophia's, and I purposely dun wanna call back.. coz I'm not so crazy to rush over by 3pm when the time is already 2.30pm. She called again at 3.45pm and asked how come I didn't answered the call, so I said I was bathing.. It was true mah. She said today's job never mind but I must go down tomorrow at 10am to the Holiday Inn at Somerset. I was fine with that. I simply sent a message to small who who informing him that I had a job and couldn't go to work tomorrow.
At about 6pm, I left the house to attend my meeting at SIM Management House ant Namely Road. I hate going there, but no choice. I am going for an interview to join one of SIM Interest Group, MEG (Marketing Executive Group). It is actually a voluntary service lah, but I feel that I would be able to gain experience and widen my network there and further more, a committee can attend all group interests' activities for free. Sounds like a good deal to me. So I went. I've never been to the member's lounge before. i looked like a wine and dine + pub concept.. so shocking... three of the committee members were there.. Esther, the lady who invited me to this interview and the other two uncles who asked me how I could contribute to their group. I went mute... because I also dunno how I can contriubte.. but I blah out that I just started an online business and hope that by joining the group I can gain more exposure. I was shot with, "We cannot have every members who just wanna learn something." I was thinking, "Shit, I'm wasting my time le.." but the meeting lasted half and hour with them explaining their businesses and explanation of the work of a committee members.. then I left the place. The route back to the bus stop was dark and steep. I was so scared that I would slip and fall. The at the bus stop, I let bus bo. 74 zoomed passed me. So suay de... but then bus no. 156 looked familiar and I saw the word 'Bishan Road' on the plate.. so I just hopped on.. maybe this is ying huo de fu??? if not, I have to got AMK and take MRT home...

I reached the hotel on time. Took me a few minutes to locate the restaurant called Tandoor. Had to ask the hotel people for help. It was at the basement. I waited and waited and Sophia finally came with some aunties. The Store owner, an Indian lady was also there. all aunties lah... I didn't know what to do, so I walk here and there waiting for people to tell mi what to do. We were very early I was told because the store owner was very kiasu de. The show was supposed to start bt noon. So we spent the time moving tables and displaying the goods.. the goods are all clothes and accessories from India. All India's clothes, very colourful de and made of pure silk. So they are damn expensive.. a sleeveless T-shirt with a few stones can cost $70.. the prettiest dresses cost abt $120. The bags costs $80. The silks are all over hundreds dollars. I was already wondering who will buy. I understand that there will be 10 models modeling the clothes and was looking forward coz, I've never seen a fashion show live in my entire life time. Even though it's a very small-scale kind of fashion show, it's still something new. One of the model came very early. She was an India, and looked pretty young. Turned out majority of the models were Indian. Dunno which Indian Modelling agency. mmmm... but strangely not all the models are slim de. There's one or two plump de. But they are looked very elegant in the India clothes.. There was also another India clothes company sharing our backstage room. Huhhem.. the who room was filled with India smell... *sweat* Apparently, this fashion show will be modelling clothes from two different stores. Turned out, even the models were shared. Haa... Anyway, I was the only one who knew how to operate a digital camera, so I was stationed in the fashion show room with the camera. I was happy to do so until I found out this camera can only take at most 8 pictures. *faint* So I took and delete and took and delete and ended up with 8 photos which I hoped will turned out well.. the show was quite nice because it was in an Indian restaurant with the Indian atmosphere and the Indian models in their pretty outfits. At the back stage, the models were panicking as they get ready for their next outfit.. they simply stripped and grabbed.. but we had to help because they could not afford to spoil their hairdo and the clothes... they just anyhow dumped the clothes and rushed out...with the agent chasing all the time...so many models moving around looking for saftey pins because the clothes were too big for them.. During the show, I noted that there was quite few audiences and was wondering about whether we will be making any sales today. It turned out the remaining audiences were very rich India Tai Tai who went bonkers over the hundred over dollars sarees... ended up actually have people buying.. one India Tai Tai even gave us a $1000 note.. we nearly went crazy looking for change.. the thing ended at 4.15pm.. and I earned $50 for the day.. haaa... was tired.. very tired..ZZZZzzzz...

I received a confirmation of being elected into the MEG committee.. Whohoo!! and the next meeting is next Tuesday.. Tuesday again!!! I intend to go for belly dancing lessons one leh.. wah piang, means I have to cancel the class le... *faint*

Hua!!! U going for belly dancing class? where where? how much? Ifzzz very happening sia!!! fancy joining a volunteer committee(how u found the lobang btw?)..hehe. All the best to u!!! Hope they teach you something! So diao, when they said cannot have every member who just wanna learn. *pengz* The fashion show sounds fun. haha...only 8 shots, how pathetic. haha..but the clothes nice anot? larvish anot? or simply doesnt look like it cost? haha...where u find this indian fashion lobang anyway? kekeke...
haa.. heard belly dancing is good for tummy removal.. it's at Arab street (www.samraelsaid.com) costing $120 for 6 lessons... evening classes.. but looks like I dun have the chance to go le.. next time i will look for community centres de.. heard it's cheaper over there... no lah.. the committee is an interest group in SIM loh. SIM actually have many interest groups de like Human Resources, Toastmasters, etc... So u have to be a SIM member in order to be a Interest group member.. then MEG suddenly mail be an invitation to go for interview.. I was running low on cash mah, then I saw, haa.. committee members can attend activities for free leh.. so shiok de... so i gian, and submit loh.. but I also wan the exposure lah.. the commitment include thinking of new activities for out interest groups.. my network is small, so consider quite hard to find a good speaker lah.. I will jia you de.. thanks!!!
The india clohtes doesn't look nice on itself.. but on the models, they look very chio.. but so ex... who will buy?? I rather buy branded de.. haaa
the lobang?? it's my ex-colleague, Linda intro de... her sister has a hair cum facial salon at Orchard Parade Hotel.. the India shop is opposite her shop.. so it's connection + connection.. haa.. but they once in a while will have such events de..
