Job Interview

Today went for job interview. The company's name is Shichidamethod. www.shichidamethod.com. The position I applied is Professional Instructor. It is basically a centre that help children develop their learning foundation. I find it quite logical because I myself feel that my learning skill is not up to standard. The centre actually train young children on their concentration skills, listening skills, memory skills and lots more... I think this job is more prospective than a school teacher.. and I really like the way they teach students.. how I wish they have this like of teaching method during our time... Anyway, the interview was at 1.15pm at Springleaf Towers.. Oh.. it's the new pretty building in Tanjong Pagar which I never thought I have the chance to enter. I filled in the employee application form for about half and hour and waited for dunno how many minutes, then I was led to a room to do tests.. Yes, you've read correctly.. there's 7 test papers altogether.. and I was given 45 seconds to do each of them..
(1) the first paper was a many pairs of chinese characters.. I frozed, thought they are testing my chinese.. it took mi a while to realise that I was suppose to tick the pair with the same characters, but I only managed about 6 to 7 and then time's up.. Shit!!
(2)The next one test 3D visual.. gave mi many figures with blocks stacked on top of another.. like last time we learn volume like that.. asked to count how many blocks in each figure.. that was fine..
(3) the next was a killer.. I saw chinese character strokes splited into many parts and asking mi to form characters.. I only managed one.. *faint*
(4) then came a list of series of number, asking mi to spot which set of numbers is missing any number from 0-9.. i managed quite a few
(5) Next was jumble alphabets, that was easy.. took mi quite fast to rearrange the alphabets to form the correct english word.. only left out one..
(6) next was matching patterns.. I managed 4 out of 8 questions..
(7) then come a whole list of additions problems... only managed two rows.. only 45 seconds leh...

Anyway.. I was then sent to talk with the General Manager.. then I found out that this company is actually 4 years old.. founded in Singapore and is quite big with many centres and childcare centre in Singapore.. the name of the company came from the teaching system which was originated from Japan and this company is the only company in the world offering this method in english..
I was told to come for a second interview..
The lady called mi in the evening to arrange for a meeting with the principal on Sunday morning at Toa Payoh HDB Hub.. turn out they have a branch in HDB Hub.. and that may be my station if I get the job...

Then evening, time I went for my first belly lesson at Arab Street. It was really a very arabian street.. I was a bit shock to find myself there.. the class was located on top of a shop selling Belly Dancing Costume.. egypt style clothes.. quite pretty but quite ex.. the lesson was tough, coz the body movements are weird and my body is just not listening to my command.. the teacher is a Russian.. lesson lasted one and a half hour.. but quite okay.. and I think will be fun if I can master the movements... when I exited the place, the shop owner, an ang mo, I suspect is a Russian, was smoking the pipe.. the kind I saw on tv, where i think in egypt, people gather around to smoke from a pot... then on the street, I saw a group of Arabians?? smoking the same thing by the pavement..
