Yesterday and Today
Yesterday visit IE Singapore Library.. it's the new Singapore Trade Development Board.. Didn't know they have a library. The course on Sunday directed us there de. The library contains many directories and books of many countries, very useful for people looking for goods exporters. The entrance fee is $5 per day. Of course can sign up as member for a year at cheaper rate. Interesting. Will keep this in mind next time. For the time being, it's pretty unless. Just interested to take a look. Oh, it's in Bugis Office Tower only.. haa..
Today went for my first meeting of the EXCO committee.. held at Empire Cafe at Raffles Hotel. The place was okay, and of course expensive..their soya bean cost $6 and allow unlimited refill. Waaahhhh!!!... Actually the organsier put Empress Cafe on the email de.. then a lot of people cannot find coz there's no Empress cafe.. haa... Quite a relax meeting, as we discussed abt up coming events and our responsibities.. should be very interesting..all of them.. Oh.. today saw a new noodle and porridge outlet near National library.. newly open de.. I overheard people commenting, "Hey, this restaurant very nice." The pricing I saw about Crystal Jade standar.. so not that ex... the atmosphere was really classy.. maybe next time can try bah... In the afternoon I had Hans at National Library for lunch coz raining, cannot go home.. wahh change so much.. now the new system is mostly DIY de.. order like at Coffebean, pick up food at counter.. take ur own utensils at one corner of the place and take tray to your seat.. the main course will be delivered to your seat.. then only one cashier for ordering of dishes and one cashier for ordering of pastries.. maybe they dun expect to serve many customers bah.. wonder whether they will go mad on a busy day...not a good place to meet clients.. imagine queuing up to self-service and walking around with utensils in hand.. so funny de... I had fish and chips set lunch, consist of the main course, daily soup, 2 slices of garlic bread, one small strawberry swiss roll cake and drink.. a bit too much and the fish and chip not nice de.. cost $7.50... but I was hungry mah... I saw the peach tart selling $1 leh.. last time only $0.70...
