I'm only taking calls for hi!Card customers.. heard it's very straight forward.. bull shit lah.. nothing is straight forward for a beginner de lah... anyway.. my hotline is not 1626.. it's 1800 4822800... hi!Card hotline...
Started work on Monday... the whole day very stress because have to absorb many information on the product.. very impossible loh.. the whole day do nothing but listen to lecture...so long time never attend class and never go to work hor.. I tell you hor.. I slept at 8pm that night leh.. because really tried and got headache... so long never 'suffer' le... Anway, one of the dunno what manager inform us about the dress code for the company.. we were annoyed.. extremely annoyed.. because for goodness sake lah.. we are working in a call centre leh.. who wanna see us?? Anyway.. my team mate consists of 3 guys and 5 girls (including myself) age range I think varies from 18-24+ all either graduate le or on Australia Unveristy vacation.. I wanna comment that the work place is very funky looking.. the most funky office I've ever seen.. very colourful and the workstation table are curvy shape instead of the usually rectangular shape.. there's a christmas tree in the middle of the office...
Tuesday was better because we had half a day of lecture and then went on buddy system where we get to listen to a senior on call with the customer. My buddy was Esther.. a very nice lady who dun mind me asking a lot of questions.. I was damn damn nervous after hearing some of the calls.. because they are so hard.. lectures are lectures.. but in real life.. people ask all kinds of weird questions.. what we know are just the basics... how am I suppose to know what to say to those chimz questions?? Anyway, we observed that.. what the shit.. the people working here dun really bother about attire... even the manager in charge of our lecture was wearing very casually wahh...Went for belly dance lesson today.. last second lesson already but still not much improvement.. I wanna comment that although it's my fault for not practising, i realised also that I had been missing lessons for various reasons.. like one week has lesson, then next week no lesson.. either the teacher need to perform or the teacher sick, or public holiday, or I cannot make it.. many many reasons.. but i still wish to continue because it's really fun... but travelling there from my work place is a bit.... coz I need to take bus 55 back to Bishan then take train all the way down to Bugis... but what heck.. this job is only for a month.. a month is very fast de...
On Wednesday, we went buddy session again.. this morning, my buddy was Noreen.. a very nice Malay lady who was very helpful and even let me finger around with her system.. she answered the calls while I try to use the crazily confusing systems... One thing I observed also.. there's lot's of malays in Singtel.. it was like this a few years back also when I was working in ICC dept at Comm Center at Somerset.. but these ladies are really friendly and dun put on airs.. they even answer my questions very nicely.. after lunch.. which was my last 'lunch-together' with my team-mates.. from tomorrow onwards, we will be going on shift lunch.. so sad... anyway, today after lunch, we had another buddy session.. my buddy this time was Selvi.. a nice Indian lady.. .. when I went to her, she was on a call with an uncle who only speak chinese.. she asked me to listen coz she couldn't understand... I did.. although a bit shaky.. then at 4.30pm.. we were told to answered some calls for half an hour with our buddies besides us.. not so bad lah.. because my buddy rescued me a few times because some of the calls were beyond my knowledge.. We have to start taking calls on our own tomorrow leh.. not very sure how I can cope you know.. so stressful leh.. I've heard from the buddies hor.. last time they trained for 1-2 weeks de leh.. we only train for 3 days!!! I've never done customer service before.. and had always been the callers to make the enquiries.. never the information provider.. think this will be a big eye opener for me.. haa... Oh yeah.. tomorrow onwards, my working time will be 8.30am -6pm le... for the past 3 days was 9am-5pm only.. sighz~ anyway.. I'm thinking of whether to work on Christmas day leh.. coz the pay will doubled.. very tempting.. coz since Christmas day also no plans... well.. I wish myself good luck...
