Working in Mandai

Today is third day of work.. very hard.. coz everything new to me... the products so hard to understand.. and different working environment and culture. Just to further describe my joruney to work... walk to Bishan MRT in the morning to catch the train to Kranji MRT. abt 26mins.. walk to bus-stop outside Kranji MRT to catch bus.. a lot of buses to take.. 160, 170, 951 etc... the first time I was there i was confused loh.. u noe lah.. bus no. 160 and 170 go Johore de.. so can only catch the bus with white plate.. the one going to Johore has blue plate de..anyway.. it's 6 stops away.. i still find it hard to recognise my stop coz the journey all trees and nothing else.. i just follow people coz it's the only stop where passengers actually alight... heng arhh... if not I very cham leh...then have to walk up the long slope.. really sloppy leh.. today was raining and the rain water was flowing down the slope like a very gentle waterfall.. can't imagine if got very heavy rain.. then i will be washed away leh...the walk take abt 10 mins loh... I'm still trying to adjust to coming here. the thing is, i have the habit of arriving either a bit earlier or on time... the timing of the opening of the company depend on what time the key-holder come.. so I'm learning to come a bit later loh.. else have to wait at the door like idiot.. and the bosses come in at abt 9am de.. i start at 8.30am by the way... the office is like home like that, coz everyone walk ard barefooted de.. we leave our shoes outside.. like at home like that.. and one thing.. what u gals think.. this company is small and it's a family business.. run by husband and wife.. the wife's mother help with the accounting..

(got interrupted by my boss.. but it was my lunch time mah... anyway.. continuing story now at home.. time is 10.19pm le)

Yeah.. i was talking of family business.. well.. what u gals think.. is there any prospect to work here?? I started a thread in Keeptouch (my fav forum: www.keeptouch.net) and the responds I've got is, 'there's no prospect, only can act as stepping stone' but I think of finding a new job a bit sian already.... i think i will have to stay back late every night le.. the lady boss like to make people stay back de.. anyway.. I'm to cover a colleague's work who went to give birth today... but I still know nothing.. how to cover.. and worse of all, my ladyboss will also be giving birth in min 2 weeks time.. then I'm in for big time.. coz i will have to cover her things also.. wahhhh!!!.. why these kind of things always happen to me.. if i know how things work hor, i will be happy to cover anything.. but I'm really a beginner's beginner in this field leh.. i think up one case have to take hours... at this rate... can camp there le... worse of all.. think le then no solution then die le loh... with my meagre salary.. i think I'm underpaid leh.. but nevermind.. think 'stepping stones' STEPPING STONES!!! if i can learn a great deal here hor... maybe my business dream can really happen.. LOL!!! today only third day already have heart attacks le... *sweat*

Yeah.. one more thing.. there's no food choices here de.. only one miserable canteen worse then school canteen.. wah piang.. I'm going to die of starvation soon.. now exploring lunch delivery services.. anyone have lobangs??? everyday I eat from the same rice stall loh.. today 3rd day... already sianz le... *sweat* still have many many 'stones' to step u noe!!!!

I dun think I'm ever going to get contact lenses u know... I've checked my eyes before.. the optician said I can only wear hard lenses, coz of dunno wat and wat lah.. very chim.. but my eyes itch very easily de.. i also scare to wear lenses leh... how har.. also the expenses will be extra burden.. how how... also dunno.. what is the latest trend on specs?? time to change my specs le... my spec's peeling colour le.. the frame suppose to be blue.. but the blue is peeling off bit by bit... *Urrgggghhhh*
